Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan and the largest city in Central Asia. The city has a history of more than 2,000 years. The name “Tashkent,” meaning “Stone City”, was first mentioned in the 11th century in the works of scholars Beruni and Mahmud Kashgari. Tashkent is the only city in Central Asia with an underground metro system, opened in 1977.

Visit to Karakiyasay Gorge, famous for ancient rock carvings. More than 1,000 petroglyphs depicting animals such as mountain goats, camels, horses, and bulls can be seen here.
Walk through the mountain village of Chimgan.
