Spring trip to the mountain village of Urgut - nature, traditions and local color!

This unique excursion will give you the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent landscapes of the Zeravshan Mountains, visit tulip fields and get acquainted with the way of life of the inhabitants of the mountain village. You will spend the day surrounded by the beauty of nature and the hospitality of local residents, try traditional kazan-kebab and learn more about the culture and crafts of Uzbekistan.

What awaits you?

1. Morning on the road

08:00 - departure from Samarkand.

The path lies through picturesque places: rocky mountains, spring streams and the famous Urgut plane groves, where the trees reach an age of more than a thousand years.

2. Acquaintance with the life of a mountain village

In the village, you will be met by the Mamatov family. The head of the family will conduct a tour, tell you about local crafts, including carpet weaving and tobacco production, and introduce you to the traditions of the region.

You will learn how the life of Urgut differs from other parts of Uzbekistan.

3. Tulip field at the foot of the mountain

A walk along mountain trails will lead you to picturesque tulip fields. Flowers grow among rocks and spring meadows, creating incredible natural pictures that will be a wonderful background for photos. Please note: tulips bloom from April 20 to May 15.

4. Gastronomic pleasure

After the walk, you will cook a national dish - kazan-kebab together with the village owners. A delicious lunch in the company of locals will complete an eventful day.

Physical preparation: the excursion is designed for lovers of active recreation. Hiking includes climbing mountain trails, so choose comfortable shoes and clothes.
