Journey to the Seven LakesDiscover the natural beauty of Tajikistan and the culture of two nations
This one-day excursion offers breathtaking mountain scenery and a unique chance to experience the traditions of both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. During the trip, you will visit six of the legendary Seven Lakes, each known for its color, atmosphere, and mystique.
Tour Program
1. 09:00 — Departure from Samarkand
We begin our journey through the village of Jartepa, where your guide will share stories about local life and the cultural differences between Uzbeks and Tajiks.
2. 10:00 — Border Crossing
Border procedures take approximately 40 minutes. After crossing, we will explore a traditional Tajik market and experience the lively, authentic atmosphere of local trade.
3. 12:00 — National-Style Lunch
Enjoy a delicious meal of Central Asian cuisine before heading toward the mountain lakes.
4. 12:30–17:30 — Excursion to Six Lakes
You will visit the most accessible and scenic lakes of the Marguzor chain:

Nezhigon (1640 m) — turquoise waters framed by mountain “eyelashes.”

Soya (1740 m) — known as “the shadow,” with mesmerizing reflections.

Gushor (1770 m) — peaceful and serene atmosphere.

Nofin (1820 m) — remarkable ultramarine color.

Khurdak (1870 m) — small in size, enormous in charm.

Marguzor (2140 m) — the largest lake, famous for dramatic postcard-like views.
Note: The seventh lake, Hazorchashma (2332 m), is only accessible by jeep and is not included in the standard one-day program.
5. 17:30 — Dinner in Tajikistan
A warm dinner stop where you can relax, share impressions, and enjoy local dishes.
6. 18:00 — Return to Uzbekistan
After completing border formalities, we drive back toward Samarkand.
7. 20:00 — Arrival in Samarkand
You will be comfortably transferred to your hotel or another preferred location.

Tajikistan is a mountainous country. The "6 Lakes" tour allows you to enjoy the beauty of the mountainous terrain. Alisher is a man who knows the history and knows how to communicate and negotiate with the locals. It's interesting to talk with him. We saw the lakes from stunning locations, enjoyed the mountain air and the beautiful landscapes. Alisher took magnificent photos. I'd especially like to thank the driver. He made the off-road journey as comfortable and safe as possible. We loved everything! There was an authentic Tajik market. The "businessmen" children, residents of the fifth lake, surprised us with their sociability. We had a picnic on the shore of the sixth lake. This tour allows you to sample the local cuisine. The trip was easy, leaving a pleasant aftertaste. Many thanks to the organizers!

Шерзод - просто находка. Прекрасный человек и профессиональный гид. Пунктуален, на чистой машине, вежлив, дружелюбен, но не скатывается в панибратство. Организовано все было великолепно, хорошее знание маршрута и орг деталей. ЧТо касается озер - в Таджикистане в тот день было землетрясение 6 баллов, я очень боюсь землетрясений, и уже проехав час между горами, я попросила развернуться. Увиденного - речки, аулы, горы, местных жителей оказалось достаточно для атмосферы, остальное - в другой раз. Алишер предложил посетить разные места в Самарканде в оставшееся время, сам провел экскурсию по бумажной фабрике и вечером довез до аэропорта. Обязательно обращайтесь к нему, если планируете поездку в Самарканд: все грамотно организует и сопроводит везде, где нужно.

Excursion formidable ! Lacs et montagnes magnifiques, voyage facile. Alisher est un guide agréable et positif, attentif, qui a pris de superbes photos et a tout fait pour rendre le voyage le plus confortable possible. Tout était fantastique et j’ai vraiment adoré.
Всем советую . Экскурсия очень захватывающая и в жаркую погоду можно на ладится прохладой необыкновенных гор. Спасибо большое гиду за внимательность .
Присмотрели 5 из 7 озёр. Машина не смогла проехать дальше. Те, что увидели, - красивые.

Отличная экскурсия в горный Таджикистан, очень красивые места, которые хочется посетить еще раз, вкусный обед, входящий в экскурсию, с местной кухней, также зашли на базар , где закупались очень вкусными фруктами, а гид все время поездки был с нами и рассказывал завораживающие истории, как историю страны, так и о местной культуре и традициях в наше время, отвечал на все возникающие у нас вопросы, сразу видно, что гид действительно знает историю и то о чем говорит, и при этом не было ничего лишнего, что отвлекало бы от красивой природы, также был опытный водитель, с которым абсолютно не страшно было ехать по серпантину высоко в горах

This was a truly amazing excursion! The journey to the seven lakes (we even made it to the 7th) was an incredible immersion into nature, where each lake dazzles with its unique, shifting turquoise and purple colors. It's hard to describe how beautifully the water shimmers depending on the altitude and lighting. A special thank you to the guide for her brilliant organization and fascinating insights into the lives, traditions, and differences between Tajiks and Uzbeks. This added incredible depth and cultural insight to the trip. The entire trip, from transfers to lunch, was thought out down to the last detail. I definitely recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to see not only Samarkand but also the unique natural attractions beyond its borders. It's a day filled with beauty, fresh air, and wonderful impressions!

The guides were very attentive and the tour was beautiful. Crossing the border on foot requires a little walk but is quiet. I highly recommend this tour!
